Little harder week it seems. No one received a perfect score and the bonus went undiscovered.
If you completed the Word Chain puzzle correctly, and read down the fifth column, you would find the hidden “idol” reading “Kelly Clarkson”. Bret was the lone player to solve the Word Chain correctly. Bravo!
One of the more interesting parts of this competition has been reading your alternative answers to Rhyme Time and Star Crossed. Many of you submitted “Bus Truss” which works perfectly fine. I would have accepted Wookie Cookie or Han Flan to the Star Wars dessert, and there were a lot of alternates submitted to that one. One I would have accepted from that bunch was “Solo Rolo”.
My favorite alternative answer of the week didn’t completely fit the clue, and the person may not even be famous from a quick google search. However, it still made me smile. Brooks answer to “A gathering of protestant turtles” was “Shelly Pickett”.

OK, I had generate and leafage, but could not figure out why generate fit the clue.
went with decorate instead. Ooops.

Bruce Jenner, the decathlete/Kardashian stepdad. I rolled my eyes at that one when I got it.
July 2, 2012 at 10:37 am
My ignorance of things Kardashian comes back to bite me again!
July 2, 2012 at 10:42 am
It is your one true weakness.
July 2, 2012 at 11:07 am
The problem is, I really just can’t keep up with them.
July 2, 2012 at 11:39 am
And we’re back to eye-rolling.
July 2, 2012 at 12:50 pm
Eye-rolling? Don’t you mean eyebrow waggling?
July 2, 2012 at 1:43 pm
Yes. Yes I do.
July 2, 2012 at 2:26 pm
and we’re back to eye-rolling
if I’m around, it’s always only a matter of time.
July 2, 2012 at 2:37 pm
Aye. Rolls ’round to eye-rolling whenever Brooks is around.
July 2, 2012 at 8:12 pm
I rolled by the site a few more times today to see if anyone added to this conversation on eye rolling.

I stupidly left this one for my last day off this week – the day I ended up spending in the ER with my daughter. And I’m the one who gets on folks for leaving Survivor for the last minute and then sucking royally. Oh well.
July 2, 2012 at 10:44 am
This was a bad week for me to get this stuff done, but I don’t know that I would have done any better.
I’m curious if my 2 wrong answers that fit in the Word Chain got me points or not? That word chain was brutal. So few sure things to help you get the others.
July 2, 2012 at 10:59 am
Shelly Pickett should become famous, just so that clue works better.
July 2, 2012 at 2:12 pm
Speaking of eyebrow-waggling…
Given this morning’s events, I feel that I should make it known that I won an antivirus power this past week off the Wheel of Fortune. Anyone who finds themselves in need of such a thing in the next 1-7 days will be welcome to negotiate a price with me.
July 2, 2012 at 2:39 pm
I’ll see your eyebrow-waggling and match you a mischievous grin.
July 2, 2012 at 3:38 pm
Wait… match? What kind of crappy poker player am I? That was supposed to be raise. What do you mean 2-7 isn’t a good hand? Well, yeah, but they’re suited! Well it’s too late now. I’m all in. Hit me. I don’t care if it’s poker – I still want another card!
July 2, 2012 at 3:47 pm
There obviously is no werewolf game going on today.
July 2, 2012 at 3:54 pm
Vote Adobery
I disagree.
July 2, 2012 at 4:00 pm
Well, that is your mantra.
July 2, 2012 at 3:58 pm
Can someone explain #7 in the word chain to me?
July 2, 2012 at 4:01 pm
The words in the clue are capitalized. He (looking for person) Don’t Know Much (song title). Aaron Neville and Linda Ronstadt did a duet called “Don’t Know Much”
July 2, 2012 at 4:04 pm
Ah. I thought if it was any song, it’d be that “don’t know much about history” song by Sam Cooke.
July 2, 2012 at 4:06 pm
…and there were one too many boxes for “Gilman”
July 2, 2012 at 4:15 pm
I don’t know much about how to spell my name.
