Results are in. Were our players in sync with the melodies? Did these rats get fat on points? Did the new kids on the block find a musical oasis among some calming tunes?
It was a very close finale between two contestants. Both contestants were asked how they thought they had done. Pete said he performed like a Rock ‘n’ Roll Star, while Heather said it was challenging but she was still Hangin’ Tough.
Depending on how you look at it you could say the finale hinged on one N*SYNC song. Okay, you two, who do you think won?
Pete: “I’ll just say bye, bye, bye”.
Heather: “It’s Gonna Be Me”.

Pete was the only player to ace their chosen artist, and he did it all on 4 second instrument only clips. Nice! The EDM songs of FatRat proved difficult for everyone, especially with no lyrics to use for submitting answers.

Oof. So many N*Sync songs sound exactly the same.
I was wondering after the fact if there was a 6 second clip of any Oasis song from a studio album that I wouldn’t be able to recognize. Probably a few things from Heathen Chemistry, but anything from the first three or four albums would be a slam dunk.

Don’t know if it will make you feel better or worse, but Heather nearly answered Bye, Bye, Bye for that as well. She caught herself before hitting send, and reconsidered and went with It’s Gonna Be Me.
She still wasn’t sure after the fact and commented on how that clip sounded like it could be either song.
I was impressed by your Oasis answers. I don’t know any of their songs except Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova, but even so…those tiny clips don’t give a whole lot to go on for the deeper tracks.
Also, from what I listed to I think I’ll make sure to listen to some more as it sounds like I’d dig more of their stuff.
