“Oh, Saaaaaaam!” called out John Allen Hill.
Sam sighed heavily. “What, John? Was my car parked four centimetres to the left today?””
“As a matter a fact, it was, and I had it towed. But that’s not why I came down.”
Sam pointed upstairs. “There’s another reason you left your evil laboratory?”
“Oh, Sam,” replied John. “I would think you would be more grateful. I just came down here to let you know that Ms. Howe has been kidnapped.”

vote 8BSEMT8 because I always advocate voting for silent new players, and (s)he hasn’t posted yet!
-
-
-
Let’s make assumptions!
Assume spooky is a wolf.
I think the best option is to then vote him out.
-
-
unvote BB8, vote mbnovak
Because the only more strategic move than voting for a silent newb is revenge voting.
-
-
Seems unwise to listen to the Dread Pirate about revenge.
-
Well done
-
-
-
Colin Prime is only moderately attractive.
-
-
-
Ok, I’m confused. Is BB8 also adobery?
-
That can’t be correct if adobery is also playing. Now I’m not understanding DG’s joke.
-
-
vote adobery
I remembered how to vote!
Also I am slightly above average attractive, objectively speaking.-
If you give me 13 minutes I can tell you how I really feel.
For now though … meh.

unvote adobery
vote mbnovakI don’t like how spread the vote is at the moment, especially if people are going to be scarce this evening. Let’s get some actual pressure on someone who might talk.
The interplay between Novak and Pirate is the only thing so far today that has much of an odor. His last comment DID feel a little stagey, so let’s suss that out a bit.
-
Meh. I was leaving work for the day, and I’ve got the kids all night. I’m literally checking in between a puppet show and Jelle’s Marble runs. I had a joke vote on DPWY, and I had nothing on Prime, but absent Prime is often a wolf, so it seemed as good a place as any at the time, knowing full well that he might appear and that would fizzle.
I got nothing real to go on, but my kids reading this comment as I type it is kind of funny. Right now I’ve got the computer screen projected onto the TV for our marble runs and they’re narrating my comment as I type, which is possibly the most fun I’ve ever had playing werewolf. And yes, I’m typing this part for their benefit, and it really doesn’t affect strategy. But hey, it’s cool.
My Dad is super cool.
Heh, I just made them say that. hehehe.

unvote adobery vote Novak
Hi. It seems weird that my appearance would make suspicion fizzle. I am often a wolf. But, it is a bit presumptuous to say my appearance would make anything fizzle unless you know my status.
I’m not staying that well, I know, but I’m tired and hot.
-
If my theory is that you are generally absent as a wolf, that theory necessarily fizzles if you start to show up. That’s not presumptuous, that’s positing a theory and then testing it.
-
-
This voting spread is all sorts of stupid.
-
Colin is wonderful in all the ways. He’s a lovely specimen of manhood.
Nettie is also pretty great. I assume she is a very good dancer.
-
I don’t really like either option?
-
I don’t think I’d vote for novak or Pirate tonight.
-
-
I’m happy to look elsewhere (my vote for Novak was a joke and has just stayed there)
-
Spooky and nibbish are the two votes that seem to any semblance of strategy behind them. They’re both for Novak. I haven’t seen an explanation for any other vote.
-
I think Prime is doing a bit of painting in his earlier comment, and the fact that he doesn’t look anywhere else strikes me as telling. I put forth a theory, and he jumps on me as wolfy for trying to hunt.
Spooky listed my post too, and went there strong with a vote. It’s day 1, so it could be rust, but I think villager spooky looks a little harder usually.
-
I mean, in fairness, Spooky hasn’t really been around the rest of the day, and it was the first vote. I don’t think there’s necessarily much to go on there.
Pirate’s vote is more suspicious at the moment. He says he’s happy to vote elsewhere and that his vote was a joke, but….he’s just left it there with you one vote away from a lynching.
-
I see what you’re saying about Pirate. He probably moves off of me quicker if he’s a villager.
I know it was vote 1 for Spooky, but that’s kind of what stood out about it for me – I feel like usually he’s a little less targeted with his aggression. It’s been a while. Maybe I misremember Spooky’s game. Or his game has changed. Let’s face it, this is really an old-timer’s league now, isn’t it?
-
-
I’m disappointed this wasn’t a fact about salmon.
-
-

-
-
Well I only know with certainty that one of Novak or me is a villager, and I haven’t seen anyone else garnering votes.
DG, you also suggested wanting an alternative. Why? Who? Don’t just avoid without committing.
-
So, who’s here and able to parse over a bit of what we’ve got here? I don’t necessarily want a bunch of votes by folks who are otherwise mostly inactive deciding the village’s fate here.
I’ve seen too many games where everyone gets picked off and we only have a few people who haven’t really been paying attention all game left at the end with a wolf grinning and shrugging like “IUNNO”.
-
I’m around.
unvote mnbovak, vote DG
I don’t like him laying breadcrumbs to which he can point back without actually putting forward any candidates here finds furry
-
Lost my internet. Moved to phone… Have a quick list typed up, will post I’d I can get it back.
-
Possibly just you and I, and maybe DPWY, from the looks of it.
My thoughts:
BB8 tells us little, but is an inactive player so far, and that’s always tough. A vote here is a prophylactic, but little more unless we’re lucky.
DPWY hasn’t moved his vote off of me, but a bit of self-preservation can go a long way. Not a bad vote, based on your observation (especially with me knowing I’m a villager), but I don’t fault it too much.
Prime I think is typical Prime wolf. I feel like I haven’t played with him as a villager for a while though?
Spooky should be able to do more.
DG didn’t strike me either way.
Nettie didn’t strike me either way – she rarely does, but I feel like other people can read her better than I can and so I tend to trust consensus on her.
No thoughts on Adobery, except I don’t like his “I’ll leave my vote where it is” thing.
Nibs seems clean to me. I don’t see a wolf pointing out the DPWY thing to me.

I like DGs read on spooky.
I don’t like Novak’s response to me. It feels canned. All his equivocating makes for weird feelings also. I’d like to put some pressure on Spooky and see if he shows though.
unvote Novak vote spooky
-
I like my Prime vote more than ever after this.
What equivocating? I don’t think wolf spooky plays quite so sparse either, and Prime switching to Spooky makes me like that vote less.
-
-
“Convinced” that there’s “absolutely” a wolf between Spooky and I? That’s pretty specific, and I’m not seeing Spooky, so what’s the thought here?
-
-
There was no strategy at all and you both pounced on Novak for the same comment. It wasn’t a particularly wolfy comment, so it jumps out that one is trying to make a case for him while getting in the pile.
(I realize it’s silly to complain that you made a strategic vote while complaining that no one else was voting strategically, but this is werewolf so oh well)
