For any of you who didn’t play in the Power Puzzle game or didn’t play in the puzzle competition at all, here’s your chance to experience a little of what the Power Puzzlers did. Below you will find out how to play each of five different games they took part in over the competition.

See if you can do better than them! Or just have fun or something. If any of you Power Puzzlers want to go back and attempt questions in Jeopardy or the Derby you hadn’t already, knock yourself out.

Scattergories — Plays like regular Scattergories only with all 3 rounds at once. To get the instructions on how to get started send an email to adobery@gmail.com with the subject of “scattergories”

Jeopardy — Similar to regular Jeopardy only with puzzle categories like some in the Pure puzzle game. Answer 10 questions…or is that question 10 answers? Send an email to adobery@gmail.com with the subject of “jeopardy” to get instructions.

Scrabble — You are presented with boards with letters already in play. Your goal is to create the highest scoring word you can with the racks you are presented. Send an email to adobery@gmail.com with the subject of “scrabble” to get instructions.

$20,000 Pyramid — In this game the Power Puzzlers had to provide clues to categories, then turn around and guess their opponents’. You only have to do the guessing. Send an email to adobery@gmail.com with the subject of “pyramid” to get instructions.

Puzzle Derby — My personal favorite. Plays like a Home Run Derby. Answer questions from various puzzle categories but choose your own difficulty level from Single, Double, Triple and HR. Whoever tallies the most bases after 10 pitches wins. Careful though, the questions get harder the bigger the hit you go for. Once you record 3 outs, your derby is over.
