Good job in week 1 puzzlers. Not a whole lot of separation in the field. I accepted additional answers to the word find since the apparent theme was pretty generic and other words worked. I was also surprised at how many queen references there were for Sigourney Weaver. The one I was thinking of was Sci-Fi Queen. Nostromo seemed to give the most people fits. As well as “grinders” from the wordfind. Below are your top 5 puzzlers and the answers keys.
Angel? Hmm…a twit — 30 pts
Well…Sly Elk — 30 pts
I mark books — 30 pts
Monk at vat — 28 pts
O Hug Seeker — 28 pts
There was a bonus answer this week. Good job Kelly, Brooks, Novak, Greek, TDO and Matthew. The bonus answer was “Richard”. The letters leftover after finding the correct 15 food items, spelled out the clue: “To earn a bonus you must tell me what the middle name is of the artist who wrote and performed this song as is hinted at by the words here”.

Will you be telling the rest of us our scores in private? I feel like we power puzzlers should have ours displayed for ridicule.

I wanna shake off the dust of this one-horse town. I wanna explore the world. I wanna watch TV in a different time zone. I wanna visit strange, exotic malls. I’m sick of eating hoagies. I want a grinder, a sub, a foot-long hero. I want to LIVE, Marge. Won’t you let me live? Won’t you, please?

That’s what I thought of. Laura did the puzzles too (but didn’t want to submit them) and recognized all the words as being from Lunchlady Land. That was how she knew “ham” wasn’t one of the words.

Wanted to know if any cafeterias served a pile of meat called a “Ham Heep”
